python-exconsole software package provides emergency/postmortem Python console, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-exconsole
python-exconsole is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-exconsole package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-exconsole *
You will get with python-exconsole package name, version, architecture and description in a table
